Space Bun Twist

Although space buns might seem played out, they’re the most practical style for hot and sweaty festival days.

  • Step 1: Gently brush through the hair to prep for styling.
  • Step 2: Part the hair down the middle.
  • Step 3: Take a quarter of the hair and create pigtails.
  • Step 4: Twist each pigtail, and roll it up in a bun.
  • Step 5: Braid the hair that’s left out into two braided pigtails.
  • Step 6: Add hair rings to both pigtails.

Half Up Half Down

This style isn’t exactly new, but it’s definitely trendy and always a crowd pleaser. Plus it keeps your hair out of your face so that you can continue to vibe out with your crew.

  • Step 1: Cut the flowerheads from the stems, be sure to leave a tiny bit of stem attached.
  • Step 2: Use a bobby pin along the tiny stem.
  • Step 3: Randomly pin the flowers into your curls.

Glitter Goddess

One of the trends this season that is really shining are glitter roots. While in the beginning, a lot of people were hesitant to try this daring style, the closer we’ve gotten to festival season the more we’ve seen daring babes put their twist on the trend in many creative ways.   • Step 1: Secure the lacefront down in front using gel and some hairspray.
  • Step 2: Comb out your baby hairs for a more natural look.
  • Step 3: Braid two cornrows in the generous 4×4 parting space straight back.
  • Step 4: Put hair rings in cornrows.
  • Step 5: Mix the gel and some loose hair glitter together in a mixing bowl.
  • Step 6: With a mixing brush, brush the glitter between the cornrows from front to back until the roots are all covered.
